AAZK Texas Regional Symposium
The Dallas American Association of Zoo Keepers chapter in conjunction with the Association of Zoological Veterinary Technicians Southwest Region are exited to announce the Texas Regional Symposium at the Dallas Zoo. The focus this year, training and medical husbandry, presented over two days.
* Network with zoological and aquarium professionals
* Full-day paper and poster presentation sessions
* Training demonstrations and behind-the-scenes tours
* Registration includes admission to the Dallas Zoo for March 21 - 22
Registration fee: $30- includes both days activities, lunch and refreshments on day one, Symposium t-shirt, and refillable cup

SYMPOSIUM 2019 DETAILS and UPDATES:
Have you trained a red river hog for voluntary blood collection? Are you in the process of training a tiger to participate in voluntary SC fluids? Did it take four different methods, over a year, and building modifications to finally get a successful abdominal ultrasound on a lion? We want to hear about it. Submit ideas for presentations and posters by Friday January 25th. Decisions of acceptance will be made by Friday February 1st. Abstracts of accepted presentations and posters due by Friday February 15th.
